James River Association Action Center

Calling all James Changers!

We need your help. We’re in the home stretch of the Chesapeake Bay Cleanup effort, and last month, Virginia released its plan for how we’ll meet our Bay restoration goals by 2025. It’s called the Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan, a.k.a. the WIP, and it’s filled with strategies to reduce pollution and restore clean water to the Bay and its tributaries, like the James River.

Over the past 10 years, the overall health of the James River has improved 10 points to a B-, a sign that Virginia’s restoration efforts are working. The more we invest in water quality, the more benefits our river can offer communities through clean drinking water, recreation, and quality of life.

Help us keep the comeback coming. Tell Virginia’s Secretary of Natural Resources that you want a WIP that delivers for clean water, clean rivers, and a clean Bay.
