Congress Must Continue to Improve PPP, Extend Program to Ag Groups!
Congress has already demonstrated a willingness to work with the horse industry to improve the PPP. Recently policy makers have clarified PPP eligibility for racetracks, which were omitted from the original program, streamlined the application process, and allocated additional funds once the original allocation ran dry. Tell Congress to continue to improve small business assistance programs by allowing non-profit entities classified as “501 (C)5 and 6” groups to receive paycheck protection loans. This key pillar of the horse industry and broader agriculture sector provides valuable resources to rural constituents who might not otherwise have the tools to navigate pandemic-related assistance.
